Architectural Assistant & Project Lead

Tristan Beard

Tristan grew up in Herefordshire and completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of the West of England. With a degree in Planning alongside his architectural qualifications, he combines his skills to assist with early concept design and guide projects through the planning process, ensuring that clients’ aspirations are fully realised. He has a particular interest in the refurbishment, restoration and retrofit of heritage, listed and other old buildings and how we can transform existing space to be efficient and contemporary.

Before joining StudioHIVE Architects in Spring 2022, Tristan gained extensive experience working on large education and commercial projects across the South-West for several award-winning practices and now leads a number of projects for SHA, including Woodlands Church and Temperance House.

In addition to his work here, Tristan is currently on the board of trustees for a charity based in Pembrokeshire, Wales, focused on supporting individuals through bereavement. As part of this role, he uses his Architectural expertise to provide guidance on how the charity’s buildings and facilities can be optimised to better serve their operations and in creating environments that foster healing, community support, and emotional wellbeing.
